Maintenance Worker [Seasonal]

Job Title: Maintenance Worker (Seasonal)

Pay: $15.00/hourly

Definition: Seasonal maintenance worker will be responsible of the day to day general clean-up and repair of any building, facility, and equipment of the parks and recreation department.  The worker is directly responsible to the maintenance supervisor who assigns work duties.

Job Location: Any facility that comes under the management of the Parks and Recreation department.

Equipment: Workers will be using mops, brooms, picks or shovels. Workers will also be using power equipment (drills, saws, etc.), mowers, weedeaters, blowers, tractors and other types of equipment that are used by parks and recreation department.

Necessary Knowledge

and Skills: Must be knowledgeable in the use of and operation of farm equipment.  Be required to work with agricultural chemicals and chlorine gas.  Must learn to use & work with pools chemicals and clean swimming pools.   Must be able to drive and use vehicles and equipment in a safe and safety-conscious manner.

Qualifications: Must have a valid Georgia driver's license.   Must be in reasonably good physical condition and able to lift as much as 75 lbs.
