5/6/22 POWER OUTAGES & UPDATES

8:30pm UPDATE:

All power has been restored at this time. Huge thanks to Cartersville Electric System for their diligent and hard work today - and to our citizens for being patient and understanding, as well as alerting us of the areas with outages!

7:00pm UPDATE:

Cartersville Electric System has restored power to the area South of Georgia Boulevard. This restores power to the Erwin Downs area. Customers will still be out of power on Larkwood, Bartow, Grandview, Luckie, and Allison Circle. Expected restoration time is 1.5 hours.

5:30pm UPDATE: 

All power has been restored to those affected by the Cherokee Street issue.
The Wingfoot issue turned out to be nothing of concern.

5:00pm UPDATE:

Most of the power has been restored for the case of trouble on Bartow Street. Power will still be out to some on Bartow Street, Larkwood, Grandview, Luckie Street, and Allison Circle area.
On the Cherokee Street trouble, we have restored a large portion of power as well. The areas still out will be West Cherokee, Charles, Mission Road, The Reserves Subdivision.
We have received a couple reports of power out in the Wingfoot Subdivision. Crews on their way to determine the cause and restore power.

4:50pm UPDATE: 

Tree down! This is the damage on Bartow Street [please see photos below]. Crews are working super hard today. While it can be a nuisance to have an outage, we thank you for keeping your cool while our guys safely restore power!

4:45pm UPDATE:

More trouble on Cherokee Street with outages. Crews on their way. There is always a possibility of more outages, as the high winds are really taking a toll on the trees. We thank you for your patience and understanding!

4:30pm UPDATE:

We now have a bigger outage on the South end of town. We have reports of a tree down at Larkwood and Bartow. Crews are working to restore power and clear the area.

3:50pm UPDATE:

We had a small power outage in the area of Valley Drive & Ridgeview Drive, about 20 minutes ago. A tree limb fell onto the line. Crews have been on site repairing the issue and just restored power to the area. Please stay safe outside with the high winds coming through! Huge thanks to our Electric System crews!!
